The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?

GLS in berlin was amazing. I haven't only made memories which will last forever but I have also got to know new friends with different nationalites. You won't only learn a lot of German but also a lot about different cultures.

Speaking about German. Another thing I also enjoyed were the lessons. They were fun but you still learned a lot and if you felt that the class was too hard or easy you could easily move up or down a level.

After class we had activities. Sometimes you were able to choose between two things or it was one option. The activities were really fun and they were different each day so you never got bored because you hadn't done them before. One of my favourite activity was climbing or sight seeing in Berlin. If you had an activity you wanted to do you could request it and we would usually do it that week.

The only thing I missed from the activities was eating in the TV-tower, but I didn't suggest it.

I also loved that it felt like the staff and all personal wanted us to have our best time in Berlin for example:

In the beginning I didn't enjoy the food. It was a lot of options (even for me as an pescetarian) but it didn't taste good. But when we told the staff and they told the chef, how we felt about the food it change to the better. It wasn't only acceptable but good. Plus that we got dessert (it changed between fruit salads, muffins etc) for every meal (which of course was voluntary).

I gave the accommodation 4 stars because we lived three people in one tiny room with a glass window and a glass door to the toilet. So it felt like you didn't had time alone. In the beginning it felt really awkward but after a while I didn't care. Instead I felt like we got closer to each other. Plus that it was cozy to sit up and speak on the nights and you always had someone to go down and eat breakfast or something else with.

To sum up everything I would say that GLS in Berlin was the best! I had an awesome time and I learned a lot of German but also about different cultures plus that I made friends for life.

Your recommendations for other students

My recommend for other students is to stay 2 weeks as I did. When I booked the trip I wished to stay 3 weeks but I booked the trip too late. But now I am happy I only stayed 2 because it was hard to stay goodbye to everyone on the weekends.

And don't forget to have fun!
